SPECIFICATION INDEX
Spectral Calibration Protocols
Standard illuminant verification, photopic observer integration, and spectroradiometric calibration.
To ensure absolute radiometric fidelity, every spectral source profile within Solis is validated against international standards published by the Commission Internationale de l'Éclairage (CIE).
Standard Illuminant Profiles
Solis ships pre-compiled spectral distributions for:
- CIE D65: 6504 K standard average daylight including UV solar radiation.
- CIE D50: 5003 K horizon warm daylight standard for prepress printing.
- Illuminant A: 2856 K tungsten-halogen Planckian blackbody radiator.
- AM0 Extraterrestrial: ASTM E-490 standard solar constant (
1366.1 \text{ W/m}^2) outside the Earth's atmosphere.
Verification Workflow
Execute the built-in calibration verification test:
SPECTRA // SNIPPET
pnpm test
This verifies that the computed (x, y) chromaticity coordinates of Illuminant D65 match x = 0.3127, y = 0.3290 within a numerical tolerance of \epsilon < 10^{-5}.
